Dr's & NP Report

Both Dr & NP had the same to say expect the NP gave more info. Both did this for free out of the kindness of their hearts. What wonderful people. Heres what the NP said:

"First, about Liya. Overall she seems well, looks and sounds delightful. Her height and weight are proportional (25th and 50th percentiles). Developmental milestones look appropriate too. She seems to have a mild, iron-deficiency anemia (probably due to inadequate dietary sources of iron--usually meat, other proteins, and dark green leafy vegetables, can result from excessive milk/fluid intake). I'm not sure what the small bumps or papules on her forehead are. They can be anything from small sebaceous cysts (acne-like collection of oil under the skin) to other benign conditions of the skin. They can appear on the face, back of the head, chest, etc. It's hard to know what to make of them from the picture and as I think I told you, skin conditions are outside my usual experience.

Next, about Meg. What a cutie! She is petite for her age, but proportional. Her height is at the 5th percentile, weight is below the 5th percentile. Her height compared to her weight are at the 10th percentile. She is at 90% of her ideal body weight (normal is 90-110% of Ideal Body Weight). What all this means is that she is small but height matches her weight. Her head circumference is at the 25th percentile which is also proportional. Her blood test suggests a viral infection (possibly a result of immunizations given just four days before) but no anemia. Developmental milestones also appropriate."

What great news, Robin (NP) talked to me on the phone for awhile last night and it was a lot of fun to hear someone eles so happy for us. Thank you Jill for the help.
